Support Lophi in his recovery

On 21 December, seal pup Lophi was brought into our center with a severe eye injury. At intake, we discovered that Lophi's right eye was severely damaged. The normal structure of the eye had been completely lost.

An ultrasound revealed pus in the eye and irreparable damage. Unfortunately, the eye no longer works and carries the risk of an infection spreading throughout the body. To keep Lophi healthy and prevent further problems, we decided to remove the damaged eye.

This is the best chance of recovery, but surgery always carries risks. Unfortunately, there is always a chance that Lophi won't make it, but our team is doing everything possible to help him as much as possible.

Besides Lophi, we also have pups Jonas and Tex in care. Both are believed to have been attacked by a dog. Jonas has a severe eye injury and Tex has wounds to his flipper. Thanks to quick help and care, Jonas and Tex are also getting the treatment they need to recover.

With your support, we can continue to give these animals the care they need so they become strong enough to return to their home, the Wadden Sea. Will you help us save Lophi, Jonas, Tex and other seals? Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference. Together, we will ensure that these beautiful animals can have a healthy future again.
